O Core i3 vem para atender usuários com menor exigência, são os que eu recomendo para usuários de trabalho que usa o computador para internet, Office e até mesmo que alguns aplicativos gráficos, mas de uso casual. Antes o Conceito do mercado para esse tipo de usuário era recomendado o Celeron, felizmente pela a própria exigência e tendência do mercado, os processadores cada vez mais aumentaram o desempenho. Vi alguns testes na internet, de um modo geral o Core i3 é realmente um pouco mais rápido que o Core 2 Duo. Na propaganda a Intel diz que tem 40% a mais de Multi Tarefa, sinceramente não sei qual foi a comparação da Intel fez. Mas nós temos que pensar que comprando um computador ou até mesmo um Notebook com Core i3 ele também vai vir equipado Memória ddr3 que é bem mais rápida que o seu modelo anterior a DDr2. Então devemos pensar que temos que dar preferência sim as novas familias de processador levando em consideração o aspecto geral de toda maquina, ou seja, não estamos trocando somente o processador e sim um computador inteiro. Sei também que existem Notebooks com Core 2 duo que tem Memória ddr3, mas acredito que num aspecto geral eles terão pouca diferença de preço dos com o Core i3. Qual as novidades do Core i3 ? O processador Core i3 tem uma controladora de memória e uma controladora gráfica PCI-Express embutida, isso faz um aumento considerável de desempenho, com isso não podemos fazer um comparativo de placas mãe para o soquete suportado do Core 2 Duo.
